It's different from Kickstarter in that there's no prize goal and your pledge is only 'redeemed' (meaning, I only get paid when) the artist releases something. You can put a cap on how much you pledge in order to keep from going over your budget and the artist you're supporting doesn't get paid unless they put out content. You can cancel your pledge at any time.
