Warnings and Disclaimers: Coryinthor is not my game, it is my friend's. I'm just one of his players. But the main character in this story is mine, all mine, no taking her. There is sexual content, but not in this chapter. If you are under 18 years of age, please leave before your virgin eyes are scared forever. Else, if you are over 18, enjoy!
Story Notes: This story is based on characters in a campaign named Coryinthor, a self-made role-playing game made by a friend of mine. Coryinthor is a mix of all the good things about role-playing games with none of the bad. Both fantasy and science-fiction in one game because the creator "couldn't separate the two." The game is able to handle distant kingdoms, warring tribes, ninjas, vampires, were-creatures, dragons, elves, dwarves, cyborgs, amazons, evil corporations, magic, speciality magics, and a lot of other good stuff, so it's got a lot of stuff going for it.
Some base knowledge is required for reading. The world is set on Earth in the very far future. There are gods and goddesses, alien races and standard humans. Of the races, there are only three to be concerned about for this story - the Veles, the Doravan, and the Dragons.
In this world, the Doravan are like Dwarves - short, stout, and always in pursuit of alcohol. Their society is divided into three groups - the military, the miner, and the merchant guilds.
The Veles are very much like Elves - tall, thin, fast, and with a superiority complex. Their society is divided into numerous castes, ranging from the Service caste to the Lord caste. The story focused on two groups - the Warrior and Lord castes, plus more later. The Warrior caste are the basic military, royal guard, and police force. Their main job is to protect the Lord, and fight for the Lord. The Lords are the focal points of the Vel society - they lead the people and the Warriors, but also follow the Emperor.
The Dragons are exactly like they sound. They are typical dragons of fantasy - huge winged lizards with tempers, hordes, and little patience for humanoids. They live solitary lives in caves, guarding their precious hordes, or travel with their hordes and explore the outside world, even mingling in with common people. As they grow older, their hordes get bigger, and at a certain age, they can polymorph into a humanoid of any race. They also differ in type, by the color of their scales. A different color can tell one how strong a Dragon is, it's breed, and breath weapon.
The campaign this story is based on is that of a dragon hunt in the country of Drexlar. The country is under siege by an army of very old dragons, enraged by their leader, the Wyrm. The Wyrm is an ancient red fire dragon is who the Third Guardian of Drexlar, soon to retire. But his replacement was thought lost, which enraged him to take revenge on the whole country. He in turn enraged other dragons in Drexlar to fight for him.
Our band of would-be heroes is a group gathered blindly and sent forth to stop the horde of dragons, but not everything is that simple.
